Terms & Conditions

1.  Introduction
These Terms & Conditions define the ways in which the company DMD Operations Limited, registered address: 29-30 Elvaston Mews, London, SW7 5HZ), here-in referred to as Clara, offers the following services to customers via its website, as detailed below.

2. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms & Conditions shall apply to every customer of Clara, whether as a member of the monthly subscription service or a customer buying gifts or other goods through the Clara website.

3. Age Restriction
You must be aged 18 or older to buy alcohol. By signing up to a Clara subscription or placing an order with us online you are confirming you are aged 18 or older. It is an offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 in the UK.

If you are buying alcohol for someone else the recipient must also be aged 18 or older.

Deliveries must be signed for by a person aged 18 or older. If our couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request some form of ID. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt.

4. Clara Subscription
A Clara Subscription is a monthly subscription, with the ability to skip a month or cancel at any time. You can cancel or skip a delivery under the "My Account" section, or by emailing clarawine@31dover.com. Requests for cancellation of membership or skipping a delivery must be made before the 27th of the previous month otherwise you will be charged for that month.

5. Clara’s Algorithm
Clara’s algorithm places you in a Wine Tribe based on your answers to our wine taste quiz. Using this information, along with other data sources, Clara selects wines to include in your subscription each month.

6. Payment
By subscribing to a monthly plan, you agree to your payment card will be charged at the time of purchase for your first box. For all following boxes you will be charged shortly before delivery which is by the third week of each month. Any other order on the website (including gifts or other goods) will be paid directly by validating the order.

Clara uses the services of Stripe Inc. to process and collect your Credit/Debit Card payments. Stripe Inc. terms and conditions can be found on their website https://stripe.com/gb

 7. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your Clara subscription at any time from our “My Account” page on the online portal or by emailing clarawine@31dover.com. Requests for cancellation need to be made before the 27th of the previous month, otherwise you will be charged for that month.

8. Shipping and Delivery
The wine is shipped and delivered either by Clara staff or by companies selected by Clara. The box will be delivered to you by the third week of each month (typically between the 12th-18th).

9. Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not satisfied with one of the bottles you receive from Clara, please email clarawine@31dover.com and a replacement bottle will be sent out to you.

10. Promotions
On the occasions where Clara runs a promotion, each promotion offer will come with its own terms and conditions. These will be detailed clearly as part of the offer.

11. Privacy

Clara respects its users’ privacy and has a privacy policy that explains our commitment to protecting your personal information. Whenever you provide us with personal information it is our legal duty to use it in line with all laws concerning the protection of personal information, including the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Your personal details will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.

It is possible to view our site without providing any personal details. However, without registering your details you will not be able to order from us.
